The Agricultural Conservation Planning Framework ArcGIS Pro Toolbox User's Manual v7.0 is a step-by-step technical guide developed by USDA/ARS at Iowa State University to apply precision conservation tools to agricultural watershed planning at the HUC12 scale. The manual guides users through a workflow that includes lidar DEM preparation, stream network delineation, field characterization, and the siting of practices such as nutrient-removal wetlands, grassed waterways, bioreactors, and phosphorus traps. Version 7 adds near-national coverage, with access to over 50,000 HUC12 watersheds via web feature services. The tools require ArcGIS Pro 3.0 or higher with the Spatial Analyst extension and advanced GIS skills. They are explicitly designed to support collaborative, stakeholder-engaged planning rather than standalone engineering design.
